Hosts The Bad Cop and DarrylW4 are back talking about a variety of topics. We started out with feedback on GSAK. We mentioned some detailed instructions from listener TheWinterTrio on using the field notes from Geosphere in GSAK; We also mentioned some of the new products announced in the smartphone and tablet space. Those were the Apple iPhone 5, Apple iPod Touch, Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820, Motorola RAZR HD, Motorola RAZR MAXX HD, Motorola RAZR M, and the updated Amazon Kindle Line. |

Hosts The Bad Cop and DarrylW4 talk about using smartphone and tablets for Geocaching without mobile data service on the thirty-sixth beta show. Above all else, we talked about the importance of the Pocket Queries which are only available on Geocaching.com to Premium Members. The Official Geocaching App (from Groundspeak) is available for Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone. Other specific apps we mentioned for iOS users were Geosphere, Looking4Cache, and GeoBucket. On Android, cachers will want to check out c:geo, CacheSense, and NeonGeo. |

Listen to our intervew with The Mad Cow out of Ohio, recorded from the Midwest Geobash 2012.The Mad Cow started caching with a Handspring Visor, then moved on to a Garmin eTrex. Now he caches with a Garmin Colorado 300 and a Galaxy Nexus. His dream location for geocaching is London, England, and recommends the Pittsburgh PAas a great caching location. For the thirty-first beta show we cover another spattering of random topics. The Bad Cop and DarrylW4 start with information about Groundspeak's URL shortening service for Geocaching.com and Waymarking.com at coord.info. They moved on to the viewer suggested topic of hiding a first geocache. The Bad Cop also talked about Apple's Podcasts app for iOS. The show wrapped after DarrylW4 talked about the PowerBag Sling by ful he's reviewing, and the Backpack by ful and Messenger by ful he purchased. |

Listen to our intervew with Ladybug Kids out of Alaska. He tells stories from some of his many caching trips around the world during his 8 years as a cacher, and shares some great tips for meeting local cachers while travelling. He talks about these caches: Barrel of Monkeys (GCX3F3) and Asterix in Monschau (GC23GT2). He uses the Garmin Oregon 450 and the Garmin Nuvi 1450. He used to use a Magellan SporTrak. DarrylW4 and the Bad Cop, both whom use Munzee, talked about some of the changes since they started playing the game and got some info about Munzee. We talk with e6c about the two caches he sent into space for the twenty-seventh beta episode. We spoke with him for the original Cache-A-Maniacs series on episode 233 as he was preparing for this second launch. That second launch took place at the Geocache in Space "L.E.I.F." MMXII Launch Party! (GC3M45Z) where he included the www.CacheAManiacs.com in Space! (TB4QENA) traveler (which will be joining the Bad Cop at a couple of events before going free somewhere in Washington). Video from this launch is available on YouTube and HeadHardHat also did a video on the event. e6c used a SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger 2 as the onboard tracking device for the vehicle. The payload also included the Drift HD170 Stealth, Kodak Zi6, and Garmin Foretrex 101. |
